David Krieff is recognized for marketing and branding unique individuals
and products, for attracting sponsorship and for developing excellent
music, fashion, fitness and sports entertainment programming for
the past 20 years. His Los Angeles-based entertainment company,
Destiny Productions, has successfully marketed and produced all
forms of branded media, combining top personalities with a broad
range of products and promotions.
His projects include television specials, film, interactive media,
home video, infomercials and live events, as well as creating original
products and financing ventures. This work has taken the form of
independent projects as well as cooperative ventures with media
including FOX, MTV, Showtime, ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, Disney, Paramount,
Guthy-Renker, Rodale Media & Publishing, Universal, and Warner
Brothers.
Previously, Krieff was president of a Miami and Los Angeles-based
public relations, marketing and production firm and cut his professional
teeth with clients such as NBC’s “Miami Vice,”(co-produced
4th and 5th season), The Bee Gees, Burger King and The City
of Miami for tourism/entertainment events. There he worked
with major talent on high profile productions, commercial endorsements,
direct response campaigns and sponsorship alliances.
Known for his original ideas and creative fusion of talent, sponsors
and entertainment, Krieff has a reputation for achieving the impossible.
His innovative techniques and focus on branded media have resulted
in a long string of accomplishments. Among his branded creations
Krieff made the sport of Ice Skating exciting again by producing
"The Battle Of The Sexes on Ice I, II and III,”
a top-rated network television franchise, with partner ice skating
icon Scott Hamilton, in association with FOX TV, CBS and The MGM
Grand Hotel, Las Vegas. As Executive Producer for the ratings winning
program, “Breaking The Ice: Women of 94’ Revisited,”
Krieff achieved the first face-to-face interview with Nancy Kerrigan
and Tonya Harding, occurring on the eve of the 98’ Olympics.
This special’s sequel “On Thin Ice,”
premiered on FOX as a top entry for the February 2002 sweeps week.
These specials generated the highest ratings for their primetime
TV slot. Krieff also created and Executive Produced “Battle
of the Sexes: Jimmy Connors V. Martina Navratilova” at
Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, re-igniting the stalled world of tennis
in the 90’s with Co-Producer Jimmy Connors. This event aired
live in over fifty countries and on Pay-Per-View television in association
with BMG and attracted the largest tennis gate (20,000) in Las Vegas
history. In each of Krieff’s numerous television specials
and live events he has attached all investors, media, sponsors,
distribution, merchandising and talent. A “Battle of the
Sexes: Golf Series” is planned to include Tiger Woods,
Michele Wie, Annika Sorrenstam and other hot male and female golfers
battling for a winner-takes-all purse of $1,000,000 at Pebble Beach.

Katarina Witt, Scott Hamilton, Nancy Kerrigan, John Travolta,
Cheryl Tiegs, Howard Stern, Al Pacino, Bruce Springsteen, Kathy
Lee Gifford, Tara Lapinski, Gene Hackman, Cheech Marin, Michael
Jackson, Sylvester Stallone, Donald Trump, John Paul DeJuria (of
Paul Mitchell,) Rodney Dangerfield, Cindy Crawford, Janet Jackson,
Paul McCartney, Lee Majors, Stefanie Powers, Richard Simmons, Chi

Called “the Maestro of Marketing” by the media, Krieff
is creator of the of the immensely successful “Silver
Foxes” brand, featuring the parents of superstars Sylvester
Stallone, Cindy Crawford, Magic Johnson, Tony Robbins, Shaquille
O’Neal, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, Farrah
Fawcett, Patrick Swayze and Quentin Tarrantino, along
with exercise guru Richard Simmons and star Stephanie
Powers. Krieff brought the Silver Foxes into an unprecedented
endorsement/media/real estate deal to create the home fitness video,
“Richard Simmons and The Silver Foxes” (Warner
Bros.). The promotion was tailor-made for a Florida retirement condo
development, which sold over a half billion dollars worth of real
estate. The Silver Foxes fitness video hit #1, sold millions of
copies and remained near the top of Billboard’s charts for
over 355 weeks, becoming the first successful sponsor-driven exercise
video. Kreiff and his team attracted valuable media for the project
including “Oprah,” “Live With Regis,”
“The Today Show,” People Magazine, “Larry King
Live” and “The Tonight Show” all touting
videos and gear. The Silver Foxes enjoy a Web-based membership club,
juice line, vitamin line, travel club, matchmaking club, a book
with Stephanie Powers and new fitness video titles including “Stefanie
Powers Silver Foxes Power Pilates I and II” (Sony). A
star-driven television series and infomercial campaign are in the
works. The comprehensive Silver Foxes program has contributed to
the reshaping of this country’s view of the 50-plus adults
as a vital community of people with specific needs and untapped
potential, just one of the markets Krieff has influenced greatly
over the years.
Krieff has also produced episodes of MTV’s “House
of Style,” Showtime’s “Making of Get
Shorty,” “Janet Jackson’s New Year’s Eve
Live Special.” He was Executive Producer of the highly
acclaimed HBO movie “Ice Angel.” Krieff aligned
Fender Guitars and Titan Motorcycles to create his own design Limited
Edition “Strato-O-Cruiser Motorcycle/Guitar”
and his jewelry line, Jean Jewels, is the “in” fashion
among Hollywood celebs.
Krieff has alliances with major talent agencies, including IMG,
ICM and CAA, and is represented by The William Morris Agency. He
enjoys relationships with top corporations and advertising agencies,
including a first-look deal with Omnicom/OMD USA, the largest advertising
agency/media buying company in the world. He consistently teams
musical artists, real estate and resort properties, corporate moguls,
producers, directors, television show runners, record labels, distributors,
investors and corporate sponsors with film, television, video and
live events to create direct response programs and original branded
entertainment. Krieff’s contacts with top producers, directors
and show runners, include current deals with Mark Burnett (“Survivor”,
“The Apprentice”), Phil Gurin (“Miss
Universe”, “Weakest Link”), Stuart Krasnow
(NBC’s “Fear Factor”), Brian Grazer,
Tony Scott and other major “A” players in the entertainment
industry. Krieff’s unique specialty incorporates tapping into
the latest trends, both national and international, then applying
the most advantageous media and brilliant marketing to create promotions
that achieve high visibility and financial success for all involved.
Krieff is currently developing programming in conjunction with the
tourism authorities of Hawaii and Mexico, including live star-studded
concerts and television programs designed to promote the cities
of Acapulco and Cancun. He is in development of a dynamic new concept
involving this decade’s hottest healing and stress-relief
technique, hypnotherapy, teamed with the country’s largest
hypnotherapy college. His highly anticipated new fitness brand,
“Malibu Pilates,” featuring his wife, fitness guru
Carroll Krieff, and incorporating an original pilates product Krieff
designed, will soon launch via long-form infomercials in conjunction
with direct response mega-company Guthy-Renker, teamed with leading
pilates expert Mari Windsor, whose DVDs and books have already sold
over 20 million copies.
As Executive Producer, Krieff is developing several exciting projects
including: “Love Boat: The Movie!,” a spoof
based on the long-running ABC television show, in association with
Aaron Spelling and Paramount; a Pay-Per-View Original Series created
by Krieff and Howard Stern; “Space Jump,” a
daring event and documenatary that will take space flight to the
next dimension; “StarQuest,” a Starsearch-style
infomercial DR campaign in association Guthy-Renker and Columbia-Sony
Records; “T.R.A.P.,” a reality television series
in association with Los Angeles County Sheriffs Dept, and Chief
Leroy Baca; “Pursued” a corporate sponsored
drama, in association with Gale Anne Hurd (“T3,”
“The Hulk”), John Milius (“Rome”)
and John Leekley (“Wolf Lake”) for HBO; merchandising
and productions in conjunction with Disney’s Wide World of
Sports; a feature film in combo with an infomercial campaign with
producer Mark Harris whose three TV series and 38 films include
Academy Award winner “Gods & Monsters”
and this season’s hottest hit “Crash”
($100 million grosses off a $7 million budget); “Back-2-Life”,
a health-related fitness video and infomercial; and “FitKids”
Exercise Video/DVD DR campaign with Today Show exercise guru, Kathy
Kaeler, targeted toward the obesity in children concerns, to name
but a few of Krieff’s upcoming projects.
A marathon runner, horseman, avid golfer, Harley-Davidson owner
and tennis player, Krieff, 43, graduated from the University of
Florida, cum laude with a double degree in Advertising and Psychology.
He, his wife and three sons live on the beach in Malibu, California.
